Feliz Halloween.

Este es uno de mis días favoritos del año debido a los dulces. Además, es el día perfecto para ser otra persona. Recuerdo que la mayoría de mis disfraces fueron de bruja, la magia corre por mis venas. En esta ocasión estuve tentada de vestirme de bruja encubierta, ósea una muggle. Sin embargo, el look que le traigo hoy se inspira en un cuento que casi todos deben conocer. Caperucita roja.

Originalmente este iba a ser mi disfraz de Halloween, pero debido a que no conseguí una capa no lo fue. En cambio utilicé las piezas para asistir a la universidad y decidí decirle a todos que era Caperucita, pero sin la capa.

Happy Halloween!

This is one of my favorite days of the year because of the candies. Also, is the perfect day to be other person. I remember that most of my costumes were witches, magic run through my veins. In this occasion I was tempted to be a undercover witch, a muggle. However, the look I bring today is inspired by a tale that almost everyone should know. Little Red Riding Hood.

Originally this was supposed to be my Halloween costume, but since I did not found a cape it wasn't. Instead I use the pieces to go to college and decided to tell everyone I was Red Riding Hood without the cape.

Hola. Halloween está a solo un día. Espero que alguien se apiade y me regale un par de dulces.

Qué no es el mejor momento para demostrar nuestros fanatismo?  Es por esa razón que en esta ocasión he decidido optar por un look pottérico. Harry Potter es una de mis sagas favoritas, tanto los libros como las películas. Tampoco podía desaprovechar la oportunidad para acompañar la ropa con el accesorio perfecto, el giratiempo. Y claro, una bruja no podía olvidar su varita.

Tell me is not the perfect moment to demonstrate our fanaticism?  That's the reason that in this occasion I opted for a potteric look. Harry Potter is one of my favorite sagas, books and movies. Neither I couldn't miss the chance to accompany the clothes with the perfect accessory, the time turner. And of course, a witch can't forget her wand.

Sea-goddess

Desde muy joven me interesó la mitología griega. Mi dios favorito siempre ha sido Poseidón, probablemente porque mi elemento es agua. Siempre me han llamado la atención la criaturas mitológicas marinas como las sirenas, los tritones, las nereidas, etc.  Debido a esto este Halloween he decidido ser Anfitrite, la esposa de Poseidón y diosa del mar.

Este look lo creé utilizando una falda y un top azul para representar el agua. Conseguí conchas y caracoles para adornar ambas piezas, y así darle el toque marino que buscaba. Para complementar utilicé un collar de perlas y una tiara, que representa el estatus de reina/diosa. Los diseños sobre la piel representa el poder de las olas marinas.

 

From a young age I have been interested in Greek mythology. My favorite god has always been Poseidon, probably because my element is water. I have always been struck by the mythological sea creatures like mermaids, mermen, the Nereids, etc.. Because of this I decided to be Amphitrite, wife of Poseidon and goddess of the sea, this Halloween.

I created this look using a skirt and a blue top to represent the water. I got seashells to decorate both pieces, and to give the marine touch I wanted. To complement I used a pearl necklace and a tiara, which represents the status of queen / goddess. The designs on the skin represents the power of ocean waves.

 

Time Travel

¡Hola! Espero que estén bien. La temperatura aquí comienza a descender. Las mañanas son frescas. Aunque por las tardes aun hace calor.

Ayer tenía que presentar un trabajo en una de mis clases, y debía vestirme apropiadamente. Lo que para mí no fue un problema, deseo creer que la mayoría del tiempo me visto adecuadamente. Un look serio y elegante, pero sin perder el toque juvenil.

Hi! I hope you're alright. The temperature here is starting to decrease. The mornings are chill. Even though is still warm at the evenings.

Yesterday I had to present a work for one of my classes, and I had to dress properly. Which wasn't a problem for me, I want to believe that most of the time I dress appropriately. A serious and elegant outfit, but without losing the youthful touch.

¡Hola! Mi espíritu de Halloween queda expuesto con este look. No hay nada mejor que una buena noche donde puedas comer todo los dulces que quieras sin que te miren de manera extraña. Aunque las noches de salir a pedir golosinas ya han quedado atrás.

Hi! My Halloween spirit is exposed with this look. There's nothing better that a night where you can eat all the candies you want without being looked strangely. Even though the nights of trick or treating are now behind.

¡Hola! Espero que se encuentren de maravilla. Hoy he comenzado a digitalizar unos dibujos para una de mis clases de la universidad. El que estoy trabajando ahora no es muy complicado, pero toma tiempo. Tengo fe de que los terminaré pronto.

La ropa que utilicé hoy puede no parecer adecuada para la estación en la que nos encontramos. Sin embargo, considerando que vivo en el caribe y que el otoño parece querer competir en calor con el verano, mi ropa es más que adecuada. Adopté por algo más casual y ligero. El vestido con detalles en flores es hermoso, es la primera vez que lo utilizo, y debo admitir que me ha encantado. Los tacones de plataforma hace mucho no los usaba, pero son mis favoritos. Un outfit alegre para un clima que no lo es tanto.

Hi! I hope you are great. Today I started to digitalize some drawings for one of my college classes. The one I'm working on now is not very complicated, but it takes time. I have faith that I will end all soon.

The clothes I used today may not seem appropriate for the season. However, considering I live in the Caribbean and that autumn seems to compete with the summer heat, my clothes are more than adequate. I adopted for something more casual and light. The dress with flower accents is beautiful, is the first time I use it, and I must admit that I loved it. Long ago since the last time I wear the wedges, but they are my favorites. A cheerful outfit for a weather that is not so.

!Hola! Espero que estén bien. Sobre todo que desde donde me lean no haga tanto calor como aquí. Sí, esto está para derretirse. Cambiando de tema, he estado dibujando mucho ultimamente, cosas de la universidad. En un principio te vuelves loco, pero te vas adaptando y entonces te diviertes.

En cuanto a moda, el otoño trajo consigo nuevas fuentes de inspiración. He reorganizado mi guardarropa y encontrada piezas que hace mucho no utilizo, que casi me olvido de su existencia. El look de hoy ha sido creado para evocar memorias de épocas gloriosas, donde la majestuosidad y la elegancia predominaron, y al mismo tiempo fusionando las tendencias contemporáneas. Los colores y la sencillez de este outfit despiertan emociones de amantes de tiempos pasados, donde el romanticismo y el encanto fluían en el aire.

In terms of fashion, autumn brought new sources of inspiration. I reorganized my closet and found pieces that I haven't used lately, that I almost forgot about its existence. Today's look has been created to evoke memories of glorious times, where the majesty and elegance prevailed, while fusing contemporary trends. The colors and the simplicity of this outfit awaken emotions of lovers past, where the romance and charm were flowing in the air.
