DIY: Shorts

En nuestro armario siempre hay un par de piezas que quedan destinadas a la oscuridad. No las utilizamos, pero no queremos deshacernos de ellas. Entonces, reciclemos esas prendas, hagamos algo nuevo con ellas y hagamos que vean una vez más la luz.

 

Viviendo en una isla tropical, el momento perfecto para utilizar shorts es todo el año. Sin embargo cuando se acerca el verano tener un par de shorts resulta necesario. Hoy les enseñaré como transformar unos viejos pantalones.

 

Primero que todo necesitamos unos pantalones que podamos transformar. Para medir el largo podemos utilizar unos shorts como referencia, o ponernos los pantalones y ver que tan cortos los queremos. Tras obtener la medida los recortamos aproximadamente una pulgada más del largo original.

 

Luego, doblamos el borde ocultando el corte y lo planchamos. Esto para que el doblez se mantenga y facilitar la costura. Cosemos a mano con puntadas invisibles. Podemos pintar o añadir accesorio, en este caso botones y tenemos listo nuestros shorts.
 

Todo es cuestión de creatividad y el look queramos darle a nuestros pantalones. No temas intentar diferentes cosas, experimenta y crea.

Review: ImPress Nails

Luego de ver el anuncio repetidas veces por televisión, y varios videos en YouTube, decidí probar las uñas ImPress por Broadway Nails.

La primera vez que las vi por televisión pensé que eran otra marca de tiras de esmalte, pero luego descubrí que eran uñas postizas. Lo interesante es que no necesitas aplicar pegamento ya que vienen con una especia de pega que no hace daño a tu uña natural. Trae veinte y cuatro uñas que diferentes tamañas. Mides, remueves el papel protector y las colocas. Parecen uñas reales.

El empaque dice que duran hasta una semana. En mi caso duraron solo tres días. Hay que darle crédito teniendo en cuenta que al día siguiente de colocármelas estaba en la playa. No me gusto que cuando intentaba peinarme los cabellos se metían dentro del borde. No sé si se daba a una mal colocación o problema con el pagamento. De todas formas me gustaron, aunque solo las recomiendo para un día de fiesta.

Midnight Dream

Vestir es todo un reto. No es solo colocar una prenda y salir, es saber combinarla, y saber que pieza de ropa va de acuerdo al lugar y la ocasión. Muchas veces es todo un reto elegir nuestro atuendo y podemos tardar hasta horas en decidirnos.

Luego, no es solo el atuendo, son los accesorios, el peinado y el maquillaje. Vestir bien no es una tarea sencilla.

Siempre me divierto al momento de elegir la ropa que utilizaré. Combinar las piezas, los colores, buscar los zapatos y crear el look perfecto. Es como crear una obra de arte.

Dressing is a challenge. It's not just wear some clothes and go out, is knowing how to combine them, and knowing what piece of clothing goes according to the place and time. Many times it is a challenge to choose our look and we can take up hours deciding.

Then, is not only the outfit are the accessories, hairstyle and makeup. Dressing well is not easy.

I always have fun  choosing the clothes that I will wear. Combining the pieces, colors, look for shoes and create the perfect look. It is like creating a work of art.
