College Time

 

La universidad me ha dejado con poco tiempo para publicar en el blog. He aprovechado este momento para mostrarle alguno de mis recientes looks.

College had left me with little time to post in the blog. So used this moment to show you some of my recent looks.

Party Hard in College

Desde el inicio de mis clases he querido mostrarles la ropa que me he puesto para la universidad, pero siempre olvidaba tomarme una foto. Tarde, pero seguro, hoy les traigo un look. Decidí vestir el negro y blanco, porque supuse que no podía irme mal con esos colores.


La camisa, tan pronto la vi no pude evitar comprarla, es de Forever21 junto con las medias con encaje. La falda es de Charlotte Russe y mis zapatos unos converse. Espero que les guste.

Since the beginning of my classes I wanted to show the clothes I wore to college, but I always forgot to take a picture. Late, but sure, today I bring you an outfit. I decided to wear  black and white, because I figured I could not go wrong with that colors.

The shirt, as soon as I saw it I couldn't help buying it, and the socks with lace are from Forever21. The skirt is from Charlotte Russe and my shoes are converse. Hope you like it.

Wisdom's Daughter

Una de mis sagas favorita es Percy Jackson y, siendo una apasionada por la ropa, no pude evitar decidir imitar uno de los looks del libro.

El día de ayer estrenó, en mi país, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monster y opté por ir vestida como Annabeth Chase. Annabeth es hija de la diosa de la sabiduría Atenea y su look, según el libro, es bastante simple. Una camisa anaranjada, del campamento mestizo, unos pantalones y una gorra de los Yankees. Con esta descripción me las ingenié con lo que tenía en mi armario.

No teniendo disponible una camisa del campamento mestiza, aunque estoy tentada a conseguir una, utilicé una cualquiera. Decidí que unos shorts serían la opción perfecta para dar un look de campamento, y unas converse no desentonarían. Para la gorra no me quede de otra que usar una negra puesto que no encontré la gorra de los Yankees de mi padre. Al final quedé encantada con el look.

Creo que la idea fue una excelente manera de expresar mi amor por la saga. Aunque quien no hubiera leído el libro, no habría podido captar la referencia.

One of my favorite sagas is Percy Jackson and, having a passion for clothes, I couldn't help decide imitate one of the outfits of the book.

Yesterday it was the opening night, in my country, of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monster and opted to go dressed as Annabeth Chase. Annabeth is the daughter of the goddess of wisdom Athena and her look, according to the book, is quite simple. An orange shirt, of Camp Half-Blood, pants and a Yankees cap. With this description I managed with what I had in my closet.

Not having available a shirt of Camp Half-Blood, I'm tempted to get one, I used one that I found. I decided that a pair of short would be the perfect choice to give a look of camp, and decide to go with my converse. For the cap I wore a black one since I couldn’t find my father’s Yankees cap. At the end I was pleased with the look.

I think the idea was a great way to express my love for the series. Although who had not read the book, couldn’t  grasp the reference. 

Blown Away

¡Nos fuimos de turismo interno!

Con el calor amenazando con volver loco a cualquier, un paseo por la capital es una buena opción. Mis amigos, mi hermano y yo empacamos una manta, agua y nos fuimos de paseo, uno largo.

Estaba claro que optaría por unos shorts. En esta época del año el calor es demasiado fuerte, y si tienes pensado caminar bajo el sol pantalones largos no parece la mejor opción. No fui la única que pensó lo mismo.

We went sighseeing!

With the heat threatening to make you go crazy, a walk through the capital is a good choice. My friends, my brother and I packed a blanket, water and went for a walk, a long one.

It was clear that I would opt for shorts. At this time of year the heat is too strong, and if you plan to walk under the sun long pants does not seem like the best option. Combine it with a pair of converse, perfect. I was not the only one who thought the same.

Wild Child

Un nuevo mes ya ha llegado. El verano arranca con fuerza. Calor, sol y más calor.

Hoy vengo a mostrarles dos de mis nuevas adquisiciones. Una camisa y unas medias de Forever21. ¿Les he dicho que amo esa tienda? Es una de mis favoritas. Siempre encuentro algo que me gusta y sus precios son hermosos. Una de las tiendas más económicas en las que se puede a comprar lo último en la moda.

Mi intención al comprar estas dos magnificas piezas no era la de combinarlas juntas, pero no he podido evitarlo. Y me ha gustado el resultado. Un atuendo cómodo, con un toque de rock y divertido. ¿Qué opinan ustedes?

A new month has arrived. Summer starts hard. Heat, sun and more heat.

Today I come to show you two of my new acquisitions. A shirt and stockings from Forever21. Have I said I love that store? It's one of my favorites. I always find something I like and their prices are amazing. One of the cheaper stores where you can buy the latest fashion.

When a buy these two magnificent pieces, I did not intend to combine them together, but I could not help it. And I liked the result. A comfortable outfit with a touch of rock and fun. What do you think?

Skyfall Sparks

Este pasado sábado fue mi graduación de cuarto año. El fin de una etapa y el comienzo de otra, pero no estamos aquí para hablar de estudios y el futuro. No, aquí venimos a hablar de moda.

Para esta ocasión tan especial decidí llevar dos atuendos. Uno para la graduación y otro para la cena/baile. Uno casual y el otro un tanto más formal y elegante, bastante. El primero es un vestido rosado de una manga, el cual combine con tacones de escarcha plateada. Un vestido cómodo y de acuerdo a la ocasión. Teniendo en cuenta que solo se podría apreciar por unos minutos porque la mayor parte del tiempo tendría una toga sobre el mismo.

El segundo, y mi favorito, es un vestido elegante de terciopelo vino con un abierto en la pierna izquierda. Tiene más de diez años y es de mi madre. Desde la primera vez que lo vi quise tener la oportunidad de ponérmelo y, aunque tuve que esperar muchos años, por fin lo usé. Mi madre compró este vestido en una boutique de Miami. El estilo, el color y el material hace que recuerde las películas de James Bond.

This past Saturday was my high school graduation. The end of a stage and the start of another, but we are not here to talk about studies and future. No, we are here to talk about fashion.

For this special occasion I decide to use two outfits. One for the graduation and other for the dinner/dance. One casual and the other a little more formal and elegant, a lot. The first is a pink  dress with one sleeve, which I combined with sliver glitter heels. A comfortable dress according to the occasion. Having in mind that I wear a cap and gown over it most of them

The second, and my favorite, is an elegant wine velvet dress with an open in the left leg. It has over ten years and is of my mother.  From the first I saw it I wanted to have the opportunity to wear it and, although I had to wait many years, at last I did it. My mother bought this dress in a boutique in Miami. The style, color and the  material remember me James Bond movies.

Nature Child

El vestido que pueden apreciar en las fotos fue un regalo de mi tía. Estaba ansiosa por usarlo, pero lo reservé para una ocasión especial.

Ayer se premió a los estudiantes que mantuvieron un promedio de 4.00 durante sus tres últimos años, y yo estaba entre ellos. Una actividad algo agotadora, pero especial. Se siente bien cuando tu esfuerza es reconocido.

The dress that you can see in the photos was a gift from my aunt. I was eager to use it, but I booked for a special occasion.

Yesterday, student who had kept a 4.00 average during their last three years of high school were rewarded, and I was among them. A strenuous activity, but special. It feels good when your effort is recognized.
