Today's outfit is the last of 2013. Like I mention in the last posts I spend the last days of 2013 away from home, and surrounded by the sea. That is the reason why I opted for a simple dress for New Year Eve.

This is one of my favorite photos of 2013. I think is magnificent, the light was perfect. I fall in love with it. 

El outfit de hoy fue el último de 2013. Como les mencioné en las últimas publicaciones pasé los días restantes de 2013 lejos de casa, y rodeada del mar. Es por esa razón que para despedir el año opté por un vestido sencillo.

Esta es una de mis fotos favoritas de 2013. Me parece magnifica, la luz fue perfecta. Quedé totalmente enamorada de la fotografía.

SEA SALT

Today I bring other of the last outfits of 2013. Being away from home and not having a good internet connection is the reason why I publish it now. I was in Cabo Rojo, and visited the saltworks . Since everywhere I looked was beach I opted for a beach look, but without using a swimsuit. (It did not have any sense wear one since I wasn't going to swim). Like you can see I gave a new use to my Halloween costume, eliminating the seashells and wearing a shirt.

Hoy traigo otro de los últimos outfits de 2013. Estar lejos de casa y no tener una buena conexión a internet es la razón de que lo publique hasta ahora. Estuve en Cabo Rojo, y visité las salinas. Ya que a donde quiera mirase era playa opté por un look mucho más playera, pero sin necesidad de utilizar un traje de baño. (No tenía sentido usarlo si no me iba a mater al mar). Como pueden ver le di un nuevo uso a mi disfraz de Halloween, eliminando las conchas y utilizando una camisa.

Sea-goddess

Desde muy joven me interesó la mitología griega. Mi dios favorito siempre ha sido Poseidón, probablemente porque mi elemento es agua. Siempre me han llamado la atención la criaturas mitológicas marinas como las sirenas, los tritones, las nereidas, etc.  Debido a esto este Halloween he decidido ser Anfitrite, la esposa de Poseidón y diosa del mar.

Este look lo creé utilizando una falda y un top azul para representar el agua. Conseguí conchas y caracoles para adornar ambas piezas, y así darle el toque marino que buscaba. Para complementar utilicé un collar de perlas y una tiara, que representa el estatus de reina/diosa. Los diseños sobre la piel representa el poder de las olas marinas.

 

From a young age I have been interested in Greek mythology. My favorite god has always been Poseidon, probably because my element is water. I have always been struck by the mythological sea creatures like mermaids, mermen, the Nereids, etc.. Because of this I decided to be Amphitrite, wife of Poseidon and goddess of the sea, this Halloween.

I created this look using a skirt and a blue top to represent the water. I got seashells to decorate both pieces, and to give the marine touch I wanted. To complement I used a pearl necklace and a tiara, which represents the status of queen / goddess. The designs on the skin represents the power of ocean waves.
